• For a vehicle: year, make, model, and the key type if you know it

Honest limits

Some high-security cylinders and some vehicle immobilizer systems cannot be opened non-destructively, and the honest answer is that the lock or cylinder has to be replaced. That is established on the phone or at the door, not after work has started.
